Fundraising and Engagement Coordinator - Galway
Our client, the National Breast Cancer Research Institute (NBCRI) continues to expand, and is now seeking an experienced Fundraising and Engagement Coordinator to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating their fundraising efforts, supporting initiatives to achieve ambitious targets, and cultivating relationships with donors.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the fight against breast cancer. The Fundraising & Engagment Coordinator will work closely with the PR and Events Coordinator and the Charity's Administrator as a team, under the direction of the NBCRI Operations Director, to raise funds for breast cancer research.
Responsibilities:
Corporate Engagement:
1. Coordinate efforts to identify, engage, and cultivate corporate donors, presenting compelling reasons for support.
Legacy Campaigns:
2. Support the development and execution of promotional campaigns to encourage legacy donations.
New Programmes:
3. Assist in building upon existing funding through direct marketing and digital campaigns.
Individual Giving:
4. Support strategies to enhance individual giving, focusing on committed donations.
Online Fundraising Campaigns:
5. Assist in stewardship efforts for fundraising campaigns in absence of Facebook and Instagram Giving Tools.
CRM Implementation:
6. Assist in establishing a new CRM system to monitor and evaluate fundraising activities, ensuring alignment with targets.
Mailings:
7. Collaborate with the PR and Events Coordinator to execute effective mail and digital campaigns, aiming to acquire committed givers and increase retail giving sign-ups.
Volunteer Coordination
8. In collaboration with the Events and Communications Coordinator, assist with the coordination of volunteers for new and existing events.
Fundraising Strategy Development:
9. Assist in developing and operationalizing a comprehensive fundraising strategy aligned with NBCRI's mission and values,
10. Support in preparing regular reports for the Board of Directors, including progress updates and financial summaries.
11. Stay informed about fundraising trends and market dynamics, providing input for strategy adjustments as necessary.
12. Ensure transparency in all fundraising activities, adhering to ethical standards and policies in line with and
Adhoc Responsibilities:
13. Support ongoing events and tasks as directed by the Operations Director and Chairperson.
Skills and Experience
14. A minimum of 3 years working in the area of events or fundraising role.
15. Excellent communication, event management and presentation skills are required.
16. Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel & PowerPoint.
17. A third level qualification is desirable.
18. Proven experience in fundraising coordination or relevant experience in a similar role.
19. Ability to present to potential new and existing donors.
20. Excellent organisational skills, with attention to detail.
21. Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
22. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
23. Passion for NBCRI's mission and dedication to supporting its growth.
24. Prior experience in implementing CRM systems is advantageous.
25. Commitment to ethical fundraising practices and transparency.
