Purcelloleary has been assigned to work in the role of Patient Care Co -Ordinator.
For this role, the most suited person would need to have a background in some form of dentistry as you will be responsible for ordering products and giving advice to patients as part of your role.
Our client is a prestigious medical practice based on the south of Dublin City.
This role reports into the Director of the practice and is suited to someone energetic, very organized with an interest in patients.
Main Purpose of the Patient Care Co -Ordinator To provide exceptional patient care by guiding patients through their treatment plans, enhancing the overall patient experience, and ensuring all administrative and support tasks related to patient care are completed efficiently and professionally.
Key Accountabilities:
Report to: Director with regular updates on patient care activities and feedback.
Work with:
Dentists, hygienists, receptionists, and patients to ensure smooth coordination of treatment plans and exceptional service delivery.
Assist with Patient Experience:
Provide personalised guidance and reassurance to patients, particularly those who are nervous or undergoing complex treatments.
Maintain Documentation:
Ensure patient records, treatment plans, and communications are accurate, up to date, and securely stored.
Handle Communications:
Attend to patient inquiries over the phone, email, or in person, addressing concerns promptly and professionally.
Support Treatment Planning:
Assist dentists and hygienists in explaining treatment plans to patients and coordinate follow-up appointments as necessary.
Relationship Management:
Maintain positive relationships with referring dentists and ensure seamless communication between all parties.
Patient Payment Oversight:
Ensure patients understand payment requirements and assist with payment processes when needed.
Main Duties of the Patient Care Co -Ordinator:
Patient Coordination Duties:
Explain treatment plans to patients, ensuring they understand procedures, timelines, and costs.
Provide reassurance and support to nervous or anxious patients, creating a positive and calming environment.
Work closely with referring dentists to coordinate treatments, ensuring strong and professional relationships are maintained.
Patient Experience Management:
Ensure a welcoming and professional atmosphere for all patients.
Resolve patient concerns and queries in a timely and professional manner.
Support the practice in maintaining high standards of patient satisfaction.
Payment and Administrative Support:
Reaffirm payment policies with patients and ensure payments are collected at the time of their appointments.
Maintain accurate records of payments and outstanding balances, assisting in follow-up for overdue payments.
Coordinate with receptionists to ensure smooth scheduling and efficient appointment management.
Operational Duties:
Monitor patient flow, ensuring minimal delays and efficient appointment management.
Assist the dental team with maintaining smooth day-to-day operations related to patient care.
Highlight and escalate any patient-related issues or concerns for immediate resolution.
General Other Duties:
Ensure awareness and responsibility for any internal requirements.
Complete all documentation relating to the role in the Company.
Comply with and ensure compliance with Company policies at all times.
Observe a professional manner at all times, representing the ethos and values of the Company.
Develop strong working relationships across all departments within the Company.
Contribute towards the efficient and effective delivery of services.
Carry out all reasonable tasks and requests as assigned by members of the Management team, including the Manager.
