ICU / 2nd on call registrar Anaesthesiology
One half time post (50%) and one full time post available
This position is for a registrar in Anaesthesiology with on-call commitments to the Intensive Care Unit.
QUALIFICATIONS / DESCRIPTION
Each candidate must on the latest date for receiving completed application forms for the office:-
1. Be registered in the Register of Medical Practitioners, maintained by the Medical Council of Ireland, in accordance with the Medical Practitioners Act 2007.
2. Have (at the minimum) completed and passed MCAI or MCQ part of it; or equivalent.
3. Must be actively participating in the on call rota in a level 3 ICU in a hospital in Ireland, where applicable or equivalent.
4. Clinical practice is mixed Anaesthesiology and ICU, but on call commitments are to the ICU.
5. Appointees will be required to be actively enrolled in a professional competence scheme and to actively engage in continuing professional education and development in accordance with organisational / professional requirements.

NCHDs who participate in Crash Call include those working in Adult and Paediatric Medicine, Adult and Paediatric Emergency Medicine, and Anaesthesia. It is not permitted for you to be a member of the Crash Call team without a current certificate.
25. Satisfactory evidence of Hand Hygiene training.
26. Satisfactory evidence of Manual Handling training.
