Greenstone Structures is an offsite construction company that designs, manufactures, and installs light gauge steel frame structures in panelised and modular formats for use in residential and commercial projects throughout Ireland. We have a team of dedicated, highly skilled people who use modern methods of construction and the latest technology in BIM software to produce offsite solutions to the industry up to 10 stories.
The Role:
We are looking for a skilled and experienced Operations Manager to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving company success by managing day-to-day operations, collaborating with leadership, and fostering a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement across the organization.
Main objectives:
* Collaborate with the CEO to define and execute company-wide objectives.
* Develop and set quarterly and annual budgets, goals, and targets.
* Lead the implementation of strategic plans to meet these objectives in collaboration with department heads.
* Oversee daily operations including staff management, equipment, processes, quality control, material procurement, and logistics.
* Establish and maintain a simple and effective weekly routine to ensure smooth coordination across the management team.
* Regularly review and adjust operational targets and objectives.
* Foster a positive company culture centered around respect, teamwork, continuous improvement, and high performance.
* Implement, maintain, and improve the company’s Integrated Management System (IMS).
* Continuously refine operational processes and procedures for maximum efficiency.
* Lead a comprehensive program for employee skills assessment and development.
* Ensure that Quality, Environment, Health, and Safety (QEHS) standards are embedded in all operational processes and decisions.
Main responsibilities include:
* Manage and coordinate the overall project schedule in collaboration with the management team.
* Supervise production processes and manage the production team.
* Oversee the maintenance and operation of the company’s main facility.
* Lead weekly management team meetings.
* Maintain and continuously improve the QEHS Integrated Management System, ensuring compliance with ISO, SCI, BOPAS, and other certification requirements.
* Ensure HR policies related to production are up to date and compliant.
* Manage recruitment and staffing for the production team.
* Ensure all legal and statutory obligations, such as insurance and environmental health and safety (EHS) requirements, are met.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
* Proven experience in general construction and production management.
* Strong knowledge of good manufacturing practices and lean principles.
* Experience in either manufacturing or construction is required; experience in offsite construction is a major advantage.
* Strong leadership and team management skills, with a focus on meeting targets and deadlines.
* Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
* Motivated, enthusiastic, and capable of inspiring a team.
* Results-oriented with a collaborative, team-based mindset.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
