Reporting to the General Manager, the Lead EHS Specialist will be the primary point of contact for all EHS-related matters, overseeing policies, procedures, and compliance. The position requires leadership in coordinating EHS activities, conducting audits, managing risk, and fostering a strong safety culture within the organisation.
Roles and Responsibilities:
* Develop, implement, and maintain Health, Safety & Wellbeing policies, procedures, and processes.
* Lead, manage, coach, and mentor direct reports to promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
* Ensure full compliance with all EHS regulatory and customer requirements.
* Conduct internal audits, safety inspections, and site safety meetings.
* Monitor, evaluate, and drive actions to eliminate incidents, enhancing workforce engagement.
* Investigate EHS incidents, ensuring corrective actions are implemented effectively.
* Identify and address training needs, organising compliance training programs.
* Minimum 1 year of experience in an EHS management role.
* At least 3 years of experience working across multiple construction sites.
* Professional certifications such as NEBOSH, OSHA, or equivalent.
* Full, clean Irish driving license.
* Strong knowledge of HSE legislation and regulations.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
* Ability to prioritise work and manage a challenging workload.
* Flexible and adaptable approach to work.
* Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Safety & Welfare at Work.
* Mental Health First Aid Certification.
* Manual Handling Train the Trainer or similar qualification.
Working Hours:
* 37 hours per week
* Monday to Thursday: 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM
* Friday: 9:00 AM - 3:45 PM
