A leading private hospital in Dublin seeks a Theatre Department Nurse Manager with expertise in orthopaedic surgery and sports medicine.
In partnership with Cpl, we are looking to recruit a full-time Theatre Manager for a busy Private Hospital on Dublin's Northside.
The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and managing resources within the Theatre to deliver safe care, an effective surgical service, and ensuring full utilisation of resource and capacity.
Key responsibilities include:
Service delivery, resource management, staffing and staff development education, risk, quality safety, facilitating communication and professional clinical leadership.
Developing services, Theatre scheduling portfolio, creating an effective learning environment and the efficient management of human and financial resources to ensure a high-quality service.
Qualifications & Experience
Registered nurse with 5 years plus experience in Senior Nurse management capacity within a theatre environment.
Previous experience within a private healthcare setting is advantageous.
A qualification in Peri-operative Nursing is desirable.
Master's degree in Healthcare Management or equivalent.
Commitment to continuous professional development and in-depth knowledge of models of nursing relating to the theatres and ward environment.
Ability to build and maintain working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Thorough knowledge of accreditation standards and regulations.
Excellent people, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage workload effectively and respond flexibly to new demands at short notice.
Capacity to plan, organise and deliver services efficiently, effectively, and resourcefully, within a model of patient-centred care.
Provide high-level professional and clinical leadership.
Demonstrate evidence-based decision making and work according to best practice.
Awareness of HR policies and procedures.
Considerable experience in change management and commitment to the hospital's continuous improvement agenda.
Leadership role in the continuous improvement programme using lean tools and methodology.
Evidence of continuing professional development.
