Job Description
At IPS, you will apply your knowledge, skills, and passion to make a difference in the lives of people, solving complex challenges related to pharmaceutical, biotech, and animal health research and manufacturing facilities. We are looking for a dedicated Project Manager to join our talented team at our office located in Cork, Ireland.
Projects can range from small retrofits to large greenfield builds, providing opportunities to grow your PM career. You will plan and organise all engineering functions specific to the projects, coordinate client interaction between the project teams and clients, and provide guidance on recommended manpower and technical resource loading.
What You'll Do
1. Successful project delivery, achieving scope, cost, schedule, and quality objectives on your projects.
2. Develop new business, as you attend pre-bid meetings with clients and prepare proposals in conjunction with department heads, directors, and other key individuals.
3. Identify project risks and work to mitigate those in partnership with senior leadership.
4. Responsible for control of project scope and development/communication of all scope adjustment notifications to the client.
5. Reporting responsibilities including developing and maintaining meeting minutes, action items/needs lists, project execution plans, monthly financial/schedule reports, and other reports as requested by the client.
Qualifications & Requirements
1. 7+ years of experience executing project delivery, five of which must be in a Project Management role.
2. Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline or an equivalent technical degree.
3. Industry experience in manufacturing facility design related to life sciences.
4. Construction experience.
5. Understanding of Earned Value and other project controls methods.
6. Promotes safety and adheres to IPS and client safety policies.
Context, Environment, & Safety
1. Travel based on the project and project location.
2. This position is a safety-sensitive position.
3. The employee is designated for field work and attends activities at client sites where they work in construction, process, packaging, manufacturing, research, or other "non-administrative" areas.
