If so, we are currently recruiting for an Analytical Development (AD) Chemist to join our Dublin-based team. This position is available on a 1-year Fixed Term Contract. The ideal candidate should possess a solid background in Method Development and Validation, demonstrate proficiency in troubleshooting instrumentation issues, and have expertise in Analytical Validation requirements.Ipsen in Ireland is represented by a dynamic state-of-the-art manufacturing facility, creating API for our key products. The AD Chemist will provide support within the MS&T department by optimizing processes, investigating unplanned events, validating analytical methods, assisting the Quality Department, and managing reference standards.Main responsibilities/duties include:Provide analytical support to projects – Develop analytical methods for raw material, intermediate, in-process or API methods. The projects may focus on current commercial processes or new chemical entities under transfer to commercial organization.Ensure all analytical work is documented as appropriate (Laboratory Notebook, Memo, Report).Contribute to the identification of unknowns – for example, use of LCMS applicable methods and use of LC.Competency in most of the following analytical techniques: HPLC (Reverse Phase, Chiral, etc.) with UV, PDA and MS detection, GC with FID and MS detection, TLC, Particle Size, ICP, IR, UV, Titrimetry, Colorimetry.Communicate the results of the analytical work effectively within MS&T and other functional areas, as applicable.To be considered for this role, you need a B.Sc. in Science (Analytical focus) and expertise in Analytical Validation requirements.
