Technical Program Manager
We are seeking an exceptional Technical Program Manager to lead technical initiatives, build and maintain strategic relationships with internal and external partners, define and implement repeatable processes, and deliver results against Amazon's dynamic security landscape.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying, scoping, and delivering end-to-end projects, working across time zones and through ambiguity. They will thrive by building consensus and driving teams towards results, anticipating bottlenecks, providing escalation management, anticipating tradeoffs, and balancing business needs versus technical constraints.
The Technical Program Manager will have a proven track record of managing large, complex projects, breaking them down into manageable pieces, and delivering them in a successful and timely manner. Essential skills include maturity, high judgment, negotiation skills, ability to influence, analytical talent, leadership, and the ability to work with different teams within DST, the larger InfoSec organization at Amazon, and different business units DST supports.
Key Job Responsibilities
* Learns the business operation and security needs of different business units DST supports.
* Understands the security tools and services used by DST teams to meet the security needs of businesses.
* Develops programs and leads initiatives aimed at identifying and eliminating security risks for Amazon and its Business Units (BUs).
Requirements
* Experience in project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management.
* Experience managing technical programs across cross-functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules.
* Experience with roadmap strategy and definition.
* Experience working directly with engineering teams.
* Experience in system design.
* Experience defining projects, identifying risks, managing cost, coordinating scope, identifying dependencies, and running agile practices.
* Understanding of core information security principles and associated risk management principles.
* Experience with large enterprise environments.
* Experience managing Mergers and Acquisitions.
* Familiarity with web services, multi-tiered systems, complex architectures, workflow modeling, and enterprise application integration.
* Experience working with teams across multiple locations and time zones.
* An intrapreneurially spirit with the ability to drive innovation independently.
* Analytical and quantitative skills; experience using data and metrics to test theories, confirm assumptions, and measure success.
* Knowledge of professional security program management and security engineering best practices.
* Professional certifications such as CISSP, CRISC, CISM or similar.
