I am currently recruiting for a Project Manager (Water Industry) for a well-established and growing company in the water industry, based in Carlow, for a full-time, permanent position.
This is an excellent opportunity to work with a reputable organisation delivering key water infrastructure projects across Ireland.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead and manage full project lifecycles: design, procurement, delivery, and handover.
2. Develop preliminary and detailed designs, technical documentation, and calculations.
3. Interpret contract documentation and ensure full understanding across assigned projects.
4. Liaise with clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams.
5. Prepare and manage technical submissions, reports, and project programs.
6. Monitor progress against contract schedules and manage project budgets.
7. Coordinate site activities, including supervision of staff and subcontractors.
8. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including site safety files.
9. Oversee quality control processes and maintain accurate project documentation.
10. Compile O&M manuals and manage variation/change order logs.
Requirements:
1. Minimum 10 years of experience in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, with a strong background in Project Engineering.
2. Experience in the water/wastewater sector is highly desirable.
3. Proficient in AutoCAD, with the ability to update construction drawings.
4. Solid knowledge of plant design, construction, and commissioning.
5. Proven ability to manage contractors, subcontractors, and internal project teams.
6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
7. Strong technical and commercial acumen.
8. Willingness to travel for frequent site visits as required.
