Counsellor Therapist
Counsellors are required to join Cpl Healthcare in the delivery of counselling services to children on a sessional basis in various locations. The programme is managed by the Department of Education.
Job Description:
* Provide blocks of eight counselling sessions per referral.
Responsibilities:
1. Adhere to the Code of Ethics of their relevant accrediting body.
2. Attend professional supervision while providing counselling.
3. Ensure consent and referral forms are complete and signed by parents.
4. Gather information as necessary for initial assessment.
5. Complete and issue a summary report summarising interventions and strategies.
6. Maintain professionalism in all interactions.
7. Engage in robust data protection to ensure sensitive information is kept confidential.
8. Participate in quality assurance exercises and support evaluation processes as required.
Requirements:
* A recognised qualification at Level 7 (primary degree) or higher in a human science field.
* One of the following qualifications:
o (a) Degree or post-graduate qualification in counselling or psychotherapy recognised by a professional body such as the Psychological Society of Ireland or the Irish Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy.
o (b) Full accredited membership with a professional body and two years of supervised experience providing counselling to children.
o (c) Professional accredited qualification in child and adolescent counselling.
o (d) Full accredited membership with a professional body and one year of supervised experience providing counselling to children.
