The organisation is Cheeverstown, a voluntary organisation regulated by the Health Information & Quality Authority (HIQA).
We provide a wide range of person-centered services including Supported Living, respite, and day services to almost 400 adults with an intellectual disability in the south Dublin area.
Purpose of the Post:
We are recruiting Social Care Workers for Supported Living services. The role involves ensuring a high-quality standard of care and support to all individuals we support, in accordance with New Directions standards.
The ideal candidate will have organisational, leadership, communication, interpersonal, and team-building skills. They will also have experience in staff supervisions, community inclusion, and individualised support.
* Applicants must possess a CORU-approved qualification at NFQ Level 7 or above in Social Care/Applied Social Studies and/or be currently registered with CORU as a Social Care Worker.
* A strong commitment to supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities and promoting community inclusion.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and report writing skills.
* Possess a good knowledge of HIQA regulations.
* Eligible to work in Ireland.
Key Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
* Providing high-quality support to individuals with intellectual disabilities.
* Liaising with multidisciplinary teams, families, colleagues, and other agencies.
* Supervising staff members.
* Using own initiative in service provision.
Working Arrangements:
The position is available on a full-time or part-time basis, with flexible working hours and location.
Salary:
The salary will be paid according to the Social Care Worker scale on the HSE Consolidated Salary Scales, depending on qualifications and experience.
The salary scale ranges from €38,951 to €54,989 LSI.
