ProSource is excited to be partnered with an Accountancy practice based in Limerick. They are seeking a Part Qualified/Qualified Accountant.
The ideal candidate will have experience working in a small to medium practice in Ireland, and be ready to hit the ground running. Audit experience would be beneficial but not compulsory.

Key Responsibilities
1. Working in a cross-functional team environment to assist with the accounting function of various clients in the portfolio;
2. Building and maintaining strong client relationships, ensuring ongoing satisfaction and trust;
3. Maintenance of trial balances and subledgers of entities in a portfolio and periodic reconciliations of the same;
4. Processing and supporting transactional level client information, including setting up bank payments for authorization, processing, filing, and uploading of client-related documents such as invoices;
5. Utilization of accounting packages (including MS Navision, One Source, and Sage) as well as MS Excel for maintenance of client accounting records;
6. Ensuring accuracy of automated/manual data input from client systems to accounting system and tracking and documenting support for the same;
7. Assisting in the preparation of monthly and quarterly management reporting;
8. Assisting in the preparation of statutory accounts for clients and maintaining supporting details for these;
9. Providing audit support as needed for clients.
The Candidate
1. Ability to work independently and also as part of a fast-paced dynamic team, adhering to tight deadlines;
2. Must be a self-starter, have the ability to multitask, and have excellent attention to detail;
3. Strong sense of responsibility for assigned tasks and the drive to complete them to a high standard;
4. Proficient in essential IT tools such as Microsoft Word and Excel; experience with accounting packages is a plus but not essential.
Work Experience:
1. At least two years of experience in a practice environment within a small-to-medium-sized practice in Ireland;
2. Must have a minimum of 2 years' experience in an Irish practice;
3. Strong written and verbal communication skills;
4. Deep understanding of accounting policies and industry standards;
5. Team player, capable of working independently and taking initiative;
6. Excellent numeracy skills and attention to detail;
7. Proficient in using Excel, Word, and Outlook;
8. Familiarity with cloud accounting software is a plus.
