Vickerstock are working in partnership with a specialist solutions firm on the appointment of an EHS Officer.
As an EHS Officer, you will support the business in improving EHS performance and ensure compliance with all applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.
In your new role: Responsible for all Health, Safety & Wellbeing policies, processes and procedures Effectively deliver training to site and office-based staff Working with the Management teams to ensure the business is fully compliant on all EHS regulatory and customer requirements Implement and coordinate EHS internal audits and inspection programmes to demonstrate compliance with regulation, standards and procedures Attend site safety meetings and conduct safety audits on sites Manage EHS & Wellbeing improvement actions that are applicable to all sites Monitor, evaluate, and initiate actions to eliminate incident frequency, focusing on workforce and management engagement Ensure EHS incidents are effectively reported, investigated and actions implemented in accordance with regulatory, Customer and company requirements Conduct and continually review compliance training gap analysis and organise training courses including the evaluation of these courses What you will need to succeed: Relevant Health and Safety qualifications 1-2 years' experience within a similar H&S role Experience within the construction sector Understanding of HSE legislation and regulations Experience with report writing, organisation or planning Good communication skills IT and numeracy skills (MS Office) Full clean driving license Desirable (it would be great if you have this, but don't worry if you don't): Train the Trainer certification NEBOSH Diploma or Degree For a more detailed brief and a confidential conversation on how Vickerstock can help support you with your next move, get in touch with Sam Geddis, our Health and Safety Specialist today.
