About the Role
This role is a crucial part of our team, assisting in the development and implementation of human resource practices and initiatives. Key responsibilities include:
* Developing and implementing HR strategies, including recruitment, training, and retention plans.
* Providing HR support to line managers on various employee relations matters.
* Acting as an advisor on recruitment, ensuring job descriptions and personnel specifications are up-to-date and compliant with legal standards.
* Leading in providing support in disciplinary and grievance cases, including investigation and interview procedures.
* Creating and implementing training programs on key HR initiatives.
* Generating HR reports for Councils and Committees on labour turnover, recruitment, and absence management.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will require:
* An Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD).
* At least two years of generalist HR experience, including significant experience in managing complex discipline and grievance cases.
* A third-level qualification in addition to CIPD membership is desirable.
* Chartered membership of CIPD.
