You will be the product lead for our instructor and content strategies. As such, you will set the product direction and negotiate priorities across various areas. Our instructors are passionate, creative entrepreneurs who want to share their expertise with the world. Your mission will be to enable them to create high quality content and support their students throughout the learning journey through new features, tools, and dashboards. Specifically, we want to create the future learning experiences needed to go deep in professional skills.

What you'll be doing:
1. Formulate the product vision to drive competitive advantage and maintain and grow market share of the instructor and creator global community
2. Define long term product strategy
3. Create and manage a product process that drives toward a scalable product portfolio and business outcomes
4. Lead a portfolio of product, design, and engineering resources through quarterly and half planning cycles
5. Solve problems for the learners and instructors
6. Lead the performance of various product analyses in an effort to establish product differentiation and execution strategies that will lead to the product’s ultimate success while taking into account cost, utility, and timelines for product implementations
7. Act as the lead evangelist for our content strategy from a product perspective
8. Drive the development of product roadmaps, and deliver product enhancements that assist organizations and learners in developing new skills.
9. Partner with Other Product, Marketing, Instructor Strategy, Content, Support, and Learning Science teams
10. Lead presentations on product strategy & outcomes to a variety of audiences up to the estaff level
11. Drive thinking and execution on product line extension into new product areas
12. Hire, coach, and mentor a team of Product Managers
What you’ll have:
13. Experience building and leading a motivated, high performing team to successfully deliver and execute on an ambitious product roadmap
14. Experience defining and aligning on a product strategy that serves core persona and business need
15. Experience leading product strategy discussions with audiences at all levels of the organization
16. A tremendous drive to innovate, bring an entrepreneurial spirit, and have the ability and desire to have a real impact on Udemy.
17. 7+ years in Product Management with experience in a marketplace model; experience with EdTech/GenerativeAI highly desired
18. A great track record of building consumer-grade product experience through partnering with creators at scale
19. The ability to ship great products. Flat out. You think about what the customer says they care about, what they actually need, and create amazing product to meet those needs
20. The ability to hire extremely well and can manage and mentor; some of the people you’ve mentored were promoted and serving in higher level product roles
21. Proven ability to partner closely with product design, user experience research, engineering, architecture, and data science functions
