Eir evo talent are partnering with a leading BioPharma organisation in Waterford, in the search for a highly skilled AST Analyst to provide analytical chemistry expertise and support cross-functional projects in a fast-paced, regulated environment. This role offers the chance to collaborate with key departments, drive method development, and support continuous improvement within the analytical space. Key Responsibilities:
1. Analytical Expertise:
1. Provide technical and analytical support to ongoing projects and site activities
2. Participate in method development, qualification, optimization, and transfer
3. Identify and implement improvements in analytical methods and processes
2. Collaboration and Support:
1. Collaborate with cross-functional departments, including Quality Control, QA, and Manufacturing Sciences
2. Assist in troubleshooting, investigations, and continuous improvement initiatives
3. Provide training to other analysts on new methods and techniques
3. Documentation and Compliance:
1. Maintain Good Documentation Practices (GDP) for laboratory notebooks, analytical reports, and records
2. Ensure adherence to current Good Laboratory Practices (cGLP) and Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP)
3. Support internal and external audit readiness by maintaining quality standards
4. Equipment and Safety:
1. Ensure all critical testing equipment is properly validated and maintained
2. Follow safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment
3. Report any safety hazards and ensure compliance with regulatory standards
What You’ll Bring:
1. Educational Requirements:
1. Degree in Science (Chemistry or Biochemistry preferred)
2. Experience and Skills:
1. Laboratory experience, ideally within the pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical industry
2. Experience leading projects or managing small teams
3. Familiarity with quality management systems, pharmacopeial methods, and cGLP/cGMP standards
3. Key Attributes:
1. Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and project management skills
2. Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
3. A proactive, flexible approach with a passion for continuous learning and innovation
Additional Requirements:
1. Understanding of site Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and project management principles
2. Willingness to collaborate across functions and support site performance goals
