Mechanical Maintenance Engineer / Technician
Your new role as a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer / Technician will be a key member of the engineering team, working across all shifts.
You will carry out maintenance tasks as required, including attending to breakdowns and routine preventative maintenance programmes to minimise machinery downtime.
* Solving reasons for breakdown and undertaking corrective and preventative actions to resolve
* Repairs and maintenance of PLC controlled machinery
* The recording and reporting of maintenance activities
* Conducting equipment inspections and determining appropriate job work scopes and standards
* Creating and maintaining plant history and other technical files
* Providing technical assistance to improve the reliability and performance of the plant's machinery
* Complying with company policies and procedures, including Health & Safety Standards
You will require the following:
* NVQ Level 3 mechanical / engineering qualification or equivalent
* Minimum 4 GCSEs including English and Maths at grade C or above, or equivalent
* Time/skill-served mechanically, electrically advantageous, with Industrial Experience
* Experience of fault-finding on automated machinery
* Minimum 3 year's FMCG experience
* Able to read, interpret and apply information from files, mechanical drawings, catalogues, reports, and manuals
* Experience of both the installation of new equipment and overhaul of existing equipment
* A sound knowledge of control systems, conveyors, mechanical drives, pneumatic and hydraulic systems
* Experience of tig welding, turning, milling and fabrication
