Purpose of the Position/ Role Summary:
Reporting to the QC Supervisor, the technician plays a crucial role in ensuring efficient laboratory operations through proactive actions and organizational skills. The role requires supporting various aspects of QC Lab operations, including glassware cleaning and organization, stock replenishment, application of 5S principles for all lab activities, material receipt, equipment calibration, solution preparation, and conducting simple tests.
Key Role Specific Requirements:
- Glassware Cleaning and Organization: Clean and organize laboratory glassware to ensure it is ready for use in experiments and analyses. Maintain cleanliness standards to prevent cross-contamination and ensure accurate results.
- Maintain 5S principles in the laboratory environment to promote efficiency, safety, and cleanliness.
- Material Receipt: Receive incoming materials and supplies for the laboratory, including samples, chemicals, reagents, and equipment/instruments. Verify shipments against purchase orders and document receipt in inventory systems.
- Documentation Management: Organize and maintain laboratory documentation, including test records, SOPs, and calibration certificates. Ensure all documents are up-to-date, easily accessible, and stored according to regulatory requirements.
- Equipment Calibration: Perform calibration and verification of laboratory equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability of measurements. Follow calibration schedules and procedures outlined in SOPs to maintain compliance with regulatory standards.
- Solution Preparation: Prepare solutions and reagents for laboratory experiments and analyses according to prescribed formulations and procedures.
- Inventory Management: Conduct regular inventory checks of solutions, solvents, and laboratory supplies to maintain adequate stock levels. Record inventory transactions and reconcile discrepancies as needed.
- Logbook Management: Require and maintain records to GDP in a timely manner, observations, and procedural details. Ensure logbooks are complete, legible, and compliant with documentation standards.
- Conduct simples tests for raw material, finished product, in-process, stability, and water testing in accordance with SOPs and SAM, adhering to Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) principles, while meeting assigned test schedules.
