ESB strives to foster an effective and inclusive culture where people engage, challenge and feel connected to our purpose, colleagues, customers and community.Position DescriptionThe IT & Digital Business Partnering Team in Enterprise Services (ES), Group & SIT owns and drives the Digital and Data Strategies, strategic portfolio planning, GDPR, Cyber Oversight, and IT Service Escalation on behalf of the Business.As part of CIO and reporting to the IT & Digital Business Partnering Manager, the role of the Strategic Portfolio Lead involves working with CIO, ITD (IT Delivery), Finance Business Partners, and business stakeholders to develop and execute a strategic portfolio plan for ES, Group & SIT’s IT & digital investments. This includes aligning investments with the overall business strategy and tracking the portfolio of IT and digital investments in order to enable ESB’s strategic ambition.Key ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with CIO, ITD, Finance Business Partners and Business stakeholders to define and maintain the 5-year IT & Digital investment plans and their alignment with the wider Integrated Business Planning process.Manage and report on the ES, Group & SIT IT & Digital investment portfolio to CIO and Group Finance as required.Ensure that all IT & Digital investments are tracked to completion.Report on budget, actuals and forecast spend against the overall ES, Group & SIT investment plan.Work in collaboration with product & portfolio managers to ensure the accurate and timely recording of spend.Manage the initial curation of new demand, including guidance and support for the Business stakeholders with value definition, Business Case development and end-to-end investment and approval processes.Experience and QualificationsMinimum 7-10 years' relevant experience, including experience in portfolio management, project management, business analysis or similar.Third level qualification in a Computing / Business discipline or equivalent work experience.Strong written and oral communication skills.Solid business, financial and commercial skills.Proven business negotiation and influencing skills.Good understanding of the overall Digital & IT environment within ESB Group.Ability to work with a diverse range of teams, stakeholders and external parties.Responsiveness to customer needs.Understanding of ESB Business Unit Strategies and their impact to investment priorities.An understanding of Portfolio Management practice.Strategic thinking skills.LocationThis position will be based in F27, ESB’s Head Office, Dublin.ESB is committed to smart working – combining digital tools with a culture of trust and empowerment to enable flexible ways of working.
