Qualifications
A fully qualified lawyer with a Master/Bachelor of Laws degree or equivalent and at least 8 years' relevant PQE in commercial law, preferably in a Hi-tech, Oil & Energy, Construction or Renewables & Environment sectorExperienced in legal issues relating to the distribution and channel partner business via distribution channels and advise in connection with distribution antitrust and competition law issuesFluent in English (written and verbal) with great technological skillsConfident with fantastic interpersonal skills, commercially minded, highly organized and able to work effectively in teamsAble to work independently and manage large volumes of workOpen to flexible workingFlexible to regualr travel within the UKI zone is required as well as occasional travel to other locations in Europe as business need is determined. Travel may include some overnight stays. Someone who is comfortable with working in a digital environment, feels strongly about social justice and sustainability. Someone who wants to work in an international company and has a proven track record operating in an inhouse environment. Work proactively and closely with the business stakeholders, to identify and analyse critical business issues, and to apply legal expertise to deliver solutions.You should have excellent legal and communication skills
Responsibilities
You will be responsible for delivery of legal, regulatory and compliance services related to the distribution of products, services and software through our clients partners and distribution channels. You will operate as a key business partner to provide strategic support and advice, working on a wide range of commercial and compliance matters. Your checklist would include:Advise on the legal & regulatory requirements relating to clients distribution and channel partner portfolio of documents primarily across UK and Ireland, and Adhoc support across EMEAProviding distribution and channel antitrust and competition regulatory advicePreparing, reviewing and supporting negotiations of distribution and channel contracts and terms and conditionsProactively identify, define, and mitigate risks by contributing to and implementing policies and proceduresHelping to ensure compliance with applicable laws and Group policiesProviding training and facilitating our compliance programsOther local legal support as reasonably required by Legal Management.
