**Key Responsibilities of a Senior Structural Engineer**
* Conduct structural analyses and calculations to design safe and efficient structures.
* Oversee the preparation of detailed design drawings, specifications, and reports.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and clients to deliver projects within established timelines and budgets.
* Provide technical expertise and mentorship to junior engineers and team members.
* Engage in site inspections, assessments, and structural surveys.
* Liaise with stakeholders and participate in project meetings.
**Requirements for Success**
* Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or a related field.
* Master's degree is a plus.
* Chartered Engineer status or actively working towards chartered status.
* Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in structural engineering.
* Proficient in structural design software (e.g., Tekla Structural Designer, Tedds, Robot, Masterseries Retaining Wall Suite).
* Strong knowledge of relevant design codes and standards (e.g., Eurocodes, British Standards).
* Excellent project management and leadership skills.
