E&I Construction Lead
Exciting Opportunity for an E&I Construction Lead to work on a Pharma project with our client, a prominent global EPCM company. Responsible for providing input for the development of the E&I construction department which will include improving execution procedures, liaising with the E&I Design department leads, and managing and developing E&I construction resources across the project.
The E&I Construction Lead will be a member of the Construction Team, with responsibility for the proper and timely construction of the E&I Scope in accordance with our client’s Safety and Quality standards, the detailed design, the control estimate, contract, SOP’s, WI’s, standards etc.
Main Duties/Responsibilities
Pre-Construction
· Detailed review and liaison with design and client workgroup leads model reviews.
· Prepare and lead constructability reviews and reviews returned E&I bids and prepare TBA.
· Prepare detailed SOWs for trade contract procurement and assist the preparation of detailed BOQs.
· Development of detailed execution strategies.
· Input into QA/TO, CHSP and all other General Construction Requirement documentation.
· Assist in schedule development, schedule reviews and lead IAPs.
Main Duties/Responsibilities, In addition to above:
· Ensures that the construction phase of the projects is adequately provided with suitably capable, qualified and experienced personnel, together with all the necessary plant, tools, temporary facilities and other resources.
· Subcontract management including Safety, Schedule, Cost and Quality shall be your main deliverable.
· Engages with the Design, Commissioning and Client teams throughout the project to guarantee system turnovers are achieved to scheduled milestones.
· Ensures that the projects are constructed in accordance to the drawings, specifications, applicable standards, good construction practices, to schedule and in accordance with the cost budget.
· Directs and controls the activities of the assigned staff and their functions.
· Carries out assessments and appraisals of the contractors works and reports the results in accordance with the company’s practice.
· Ensure that the lessons learned on projects are recorded and shared.
· Reviews contractor progress reports and provides input to weekly CM report out to Client.
· Ensures that the criteria as set out in the Quality plan are adhered to.
· Manage construction works from pre-construction to system turnover.
· Determines the needs for supervisor training for proper execution of the project under construction and makes recommendations accordingly.
· Supervises and manages all Site E&I Staff including construction superintendents, trade supervisors and sub-contractors.
Requirements
· Degree in E&I Engineering, Electrical Engineering or similar discipline
· Significant years of experience in a similar role
· Biotech/Pharma knowledge
· Excellent communication skills
· Excellent multi-disciplinary knowledge
