About the Role
Due to continued growth, they are seeking a Health, Safety & Environmental Officer to join their team at their facility in Balbriggan, Co. Dublin.

Responsibilities
* Oversee all Health, Safety, and Environmental matters for the company's manufacturing facilities.
* Report directly to the Group Head of Health, Safety & Environmental Management.
* Attend production and other relevant meetings to provide EHS updates and input.
* Investigate, report, and record all accidents, incidents, and near misses.
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance workplace safety and environmental compliance.
* Prepare and submit accurate EHS reports in a timely manner.
* Implement and maintain EHS procedures, programs, and management systems to ISO 14001 & ISO 45001 standards.
* Conduct regular factory audits and inspections to ensure legislative and company compliance.
* Develop and review risk assessments for activities such as chemical handling, manual handling, noise exposure, DSE, abrasive wheels, work at height, and confined spaces.
* Lead and coordinate EHS committee meetings, including documentation of minutes.
Requirements
* 3rd Level qualification in a relevant discipline with previous experience in an HSE role.
* NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate, IOSH Managing Safely, or equivalent qualifications.
* Additional certifications such as NVQ Occupational Health & Safety, NEBOSH Environmental Diploma, or PTTLS/Train the Trainer are advantageous.
* Strong knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations and best practices.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* IT proficient (Microsoft Office).
* Full clean driving licence.
