In addition to managing large-scale one-off projects, at PM Group we also provide a Managed Service for capital projects to a growing number of clients. Our site-based Managed Service teams across Ireland provide a cost-efficient and effective framework for project delivery to our clients. We take projects ranging in capital value from €100k to €15M from concept through all stages of the project life-cycle to handover. Whether a simple pump replacement or a complex building extension, we manage all aspects of the project from idea to implementation. We deliver diverse portfolios of projects including buildings, cleanrooms, utilities, process installations, regulatory upgrades, and equipment replacements.
Position
We now wish to recruit an Instrumentation Engineer to work on site supporting capital projects. The Instrumentation Engineer will be working as part of a multidisciplinary project engineering team based in Cork. Previous Instrumentation design and construction support experience in the Pharmaceutical/Biotechnology industry is advantageous.
Responsibilities
1. Instrumentation Design working as part of a multi-disciplinary project delivery team.
2. Provide support to fee and capital budget proposals as required.
3. Assemble and manage bid, approval, and construction issue instrumentation design packages in an efficient and lean manner.
4. Requires extensive and independent contact with client, vendor’s representatives, and site personnel.
5. Attend and participate in client and PM Group meetings.
6. Implement specific site and company quality & design Standards.
7. Ability to manage the Coordination of the design team and external stakeholders.
8. Ability to undertake value engineering activities and implement new technologies where they are required to provide cost-effective solutions for our clients.
Qualifications
1. Third Level Degree in Engineering Discipline - Applied Physics and Instrumentation or similar discipline.
2. 5+ years of formal experience in industrial engineering design.
3. Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
4. Professional approach and demeanor.
5. A strong ethical approach to safety, quality, and sustainable design.
6. Knowledge of applicable instrumentation engineering codes, standards, and current industry best practices.
