Facilities Engineer - Contract (BBBH30601) Offaly, Republic of Ireland
Our client is a global leader in the animal health sector dedicated to delivering innovative, high-quality medicinal products. The business is committed to innovation, efficiency, and sustainability in all our operations and has created a new role for a skilled Facilities Engineer to join their Engineering team and help maintain the site to the highest standards.
The Position
As a Facilities Engineer, you will work alongside the site services team to manage key systems for the site. You will be responsible for ensuring that buildings and equipment operate efficiently and safely. You will oversee maintenance, repairs, and upgrades to our facilities, coordinating with various stakeholders to ensure compliance with regulations and industry standards. Champion and lead the ongoing compliance and adherence.
* Develop and implement plans for all facilities and equipment as assigned across the site.
* Conduct regular inspections of systems and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
* Manage facility improvement projects, including renovations and upgrades.
* Collaborate with contractors and vendors for routine maintenance and repairs.
* Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
* Identify and implement efficiency measures to reduce costs and improve effectiveness.
* Prepare and manage budgets for facility operations and maintenance.
The Person
* Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or related field).
* Proven experience working within a manufacturing site supporting key facilities systems.
* Strong understanding of building systems including fire alarms, access controls, sprinkler systems, and gas detection systems.
* Demonstrated experience identifying and delivering lean projects.
* Excellent problem-solving and project management skills.
* Proficiency in AutoCAD or other technical drawing software.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
