Grocery Key Account Manager

Overview / Purpose of the Role
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Grocery Key Account Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing key accounts within the FMCG sector, with a strong focus on the grocery market in Ireland. You will be responsible for developing strategic partnerships, driving sales growth, and ensuring the successful execution of business plans and delivery of margin targets
Key Responsibilities
Account Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key grocery partners, ensuring high levels of customer service and satisfaction.
Sales Strategy: Create and implement effective sales strategies to achieve revenue and margin targets and grow market share within assigned accounts.
Market Analysis: Analyse market trends, competitor activity, and customer insights to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
Negotiation: Negotiate annual JBPs, pricing, and promotional agreements with key accounts to maximize profitability and enhance brand visibility.
Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, supply chain, sales and finance, to ensure alignment and support for account initiatives.
Reporting: Monitor and report on sales performance, market conditions, and account developments to senior management.
Promotional Planning: Develop and execute promotional plans that align with customer strategies and work with and manage partners to drive product visibility in store.
Key Experience / Skills / Education
Minimum 5 years' experience in key account management or sales within the FMCG sector, preferably in the grocery market.
Degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
Strong negotiation and communication skills.
Commerciality
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
