Financial Accountant My client is a highly successful Irish group based in South Dublin. Due to continued growth they are now recruiting for a newly created Financial Accountant position. This role would suit a recently qualified accountant who is looking to gain varied experience within a dynamic environment. The primary focus of this role is the ownership over the preparation of management reporting for an individual business unit. This position will enjoy a high level of exposure to management and offers the opportunity to gain excellent experience in all aspects of the finance function. The successful candidate will be highly motivated, well-organisedand reliable, with an exceptional level of attention to detail; a problem solver with ahigh level ofIT proficiency and great degree of confidentiality and discretion. The role will report directly to the Divisional Financial Controller. Key responsibilities: Management Reporting Ownership over the preparation of monthly management accounts and reports. Monthly reconciliation of nominal ledger accounts. Ensure all transactions are accurately recorded and discrepancies are resolved timely. Support the preparation of annual statutory financial statements, including liaising with external auditors. Contribute to the annual budget process and monthly forecasts. Explaining finance concepts in an easy to understand manner to non-finance people Financial analysis Review performance to provide explanations for variances to budget / prior year Prepare ad-hoc P&L, balance sheet and cash flow financial analysis as appropriate Develop KPI reporting and analysis to provide insights on performance. Preparation of financial presentations to management Cash Management Preparation of weekly cash flow forecasts and contribute to cashflow planning process. Monitor working capital analysis including stocks, debtors, creditors and intercompany transactions. Liaison with banks and other credit providers on day-to-day queries. Other Preparation of other statutory, regulatory and tax returns as appropriate Preparation of composite reporting Identify, develop and seek to implement business process improvements. Working closely with other departments and the wider group finance team on various issues and projects. Any other ad hoc projects that may arise The person: Highly motivated, ambitious, recently qualified ACA / ACCA (or equivalent). Strong academic record. A team player, with proven ability to work collectively to meet tight deadlines, but also comfortable working on your own initiative if and when required. Ability to produce results, prioritise objectives and schedule work to make best use of time and resources, in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Instinctively analytical, focus on problem solving with a high attention to detail. Strong interpersonal skills and an articulate communicator. Commercial awareness and strong business acumen.
