Temple Bar Hotel Dublin is seeking a Bar Tender to join the team in its unique four-star hotel.
You will report to the Bar Manager, supporting and working towards providing our customers with excellent service, working as a team with your colleagues and maintaining the health, safety, and cleanliness of the bar areas at all times.
A Bar Tender Will Be Responsible For:
* To adhere to all safe working practices and procedures in operation within the bars at all times.
* To follow all standards expected and exceed customer expectations at all times.
* To ensure that the customers are offered the highest quality standards of service and care, anticipating their needs and being attentive at all times.
* To promote sales within the department at all times and upsell where possible.
* To take responsibility for all bar and lounge areas and report any issues to the Senior Bar Staff or Manager immediately.
* To ensure that all bar wastage is recorded to ensure accuracy of stock take.
* To ensure that all bottles etc. are disposed of properly and safely, the bar is cleaned and restocked and stock is rotated at the end of daily business.
* To ensure that all procedures in relation to floats, stock, cash, and till operation are adhered to at all times as requested by hotel policy.
* To ensure that you have an in-depth knowledge of your department product, in addition to being aware of the total hotel facilities.
* To work as part of the Team, being aware of colleagues and their needs, and being flexible at all times.
* To attend training sessions as required.
* To attend Appraisal and assessment meetings as and when required.
* To comply with statutory and legal requirements for Health & Safety, Fire and Hygiene.
To be successful in the role of Bar Tender, we require:
* Previous experience in a bar or hospitality environment.
* A strong understanding of beverages, including cocktails, beers, and wines.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
* The ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
* A team-oriented attitude and a passion for creating exceptional guest experiences.
