Job Title: Senior Support Worker
Hours Available: Full-time (3-12 hour shifts, with extra for awake nights)
Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Senior Support Worker to provide high-quality, person-centered support to individuals with learning disabilities, acquired brain injuries, or autism.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Mentor and coach staff in delivering person-centered support and managing challenging behavior
2. Lead shifts and provide supervision to assigned staff
3. Promote volunteer involvement and report any poor practices
4. Maintain accurate records on medication, finances, risks, and incidents
5. Conduct Health & Safety checks and escalate maintenance issues as required
Person Specification:
1. One of the following qualifications: 3 years' experience in a health or social care setting, QCF Level 2 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent), QCF Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent), Psychology Degree, or Psychology Masters Degree
2. At least 1 year's experience of working with people with a learning disability or autism
3. At least 1 year's experience in managing behaviours of concern through the implementation of Positive Behaviour Support
4. Full, valid driving licence or ability to travel independently
5. Registration or eligibility for registration on the Northern Ireland Social Care Council (NISCC) or other relevant professional body
Benefits:
* Salary: £24,285-£34,000 per annum (FTE, depending on experience)
