Temporary Position - Maternity Leave Cover
This position will provide dedicated HR consultation, generalist, and recruiting support to our internal customers at STERIS.
The primary responsibilities include providing HR advice and guidance to managers, fostering positive employee relations, recruiting candidates, performance management, compensation and benefits leadership training, and other HR projects to support the business.
Supporting the Senior HR Manager in Corporate led initiatives and day to day HR activities.
Duties
* Recruiting
* Source, screen, and recruit qualified candidates for all level positions, up to and including Director level positions.
* Review resumes, conduct phone screens, and evaluate applications for job fit.
* Create and implement process improvements, selection tools, and best in class practices to improve the recruitment process.
* Work closely with Hiring Managers and provide input and guidance as they make hiring decisions.
* Facilitate the job requisition process to improve efficiency in time to fill.
* Build and maintain a pipeline of high potential candidates.
* Provide leadership in recruiting related special assignments.
* Create standard and ad hoc reports as needed to demonstrate recruiting effectiveness.
Employee Relations/Performance Management
* Provide managers with consultation and support with Performance Management activities.
* Resolve employee relations issues, working with managers and Sr. HR Manager.
* Apply and interpret policies and procedures to basic and complex employment issues.
* Provide guidance to managers regarding disciplinary actions and terminations.
* Perform exit interviews and analyze trends.
HR Project Support
* Provide support to the corporate HR team on various projects.
* Conduct HR related research and assist with HR strategic plan preparation.
* Serve as project lead or participant on assigned initiatives.
* Conduct internal training for New Hire Orientation and other HR related topics.
Education
* Bachelor's Degree
Required Experience
* 5-7 years recruitment experience in a professional, fast-paced environment.
* 5-7 years of employee relations experience, including knowledge of employment law.
* 3 years leading training initiatives and HR Projects.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Strong computer skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook.
* A high attention to detail is required for this role.
* The ideal candidate must be CIPD qualified or studying for this qualification.
