Quality Engineer rolein a leading mechanical and electrical engineering company based in South Tipperary. Reporting to the Production and Purchasing Manager and joining an expanding team at a time of large growth. As a Quality Engineer, you will collaborate closely with project managers, subcontractors, and stakeholders in ensuring excellence inquality control and quality assurance (QA/QC)and compliance on all our projects. Responsibilities of the role: Your primary responsibility will be to oversee quality assurance and control across projects. Develop and/or enforce robust quality control and quality assurance (QA/QC) processes and standards to enable efficiency and effectiveness along with leading effective cross-functional communications. Establish and implement comprehensive quality management plans tailored to each project's requirements. Coordinating customer and supplier inspections, audits, and testing procedures guaranteeing that all aspects of the project meet stringent quality standards, industry regulations, and client expectations. Perform quality engineering reviews of design documentation for compliance with stated requirements, including vendor quality manuals and company quality records. Maintain, develop, and process documents. Perform data analysis and data visualization to support continuous improvement projects. Develop/monitor quality program metrics to evaluate the projects performance. Analyse said metrics to understand the root cause of any disconcerting trends and then work with the applicable parties to correct those items. Proactively identify potential risks and areas for improvement, employing your technical acumen to resolve challenges and ensure the seamless integration of various disciplines. Vessel Certification to PED and interaction with Independent Notified Body Compile EN1090 & EN3834 Records and preparation for External Audits by TUV, including Weld Map & Logs, Material Certification, Weld Procedures & Welder Qualifications, Paint Records, Material Certificates, and traceability. Compile and transmit Data Quality Packs to Customers on competition of projects. In process and final inspections of fabricated parts and WIP Visual Weld Inspection, training to be provided. Running of ISO9001;2015 QMS and preparation for NSAI External Audits. Maintain and familiarise with relevant Standards used in the organisation. Maintenance of Sub-Contractor and Supplier Data-base and upkeep of records. Any other functions deemed relevant by your line manager. Role will suit: You are qualified to degree level or equivalent in a relevant Engineering or Quality discipline. You should have 3-5 years experience in a similar role with previous quality control and quality assurance (QA/QC) programs. You should also have good understanding of industry best practices and technologies. Experience in Pressure Vessel Certification to PED and interaction with Third party Notified Body would be an advantage Familiarity with validation and documentation of processes within a regulated industry is advantageous. Experience utilizing Solid works and AutoCAD would be an advantage. Experienced in advanced MS Excel or equivalent and demonstrated experience accessing data from systems and visualizing it to gain insights. You show excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. You should have excellent attention to detail, planning and organisation skills. You should have strong communication and interpersonal skills and able to collaborate effectively with colleagues and clients. You should be a strong team player but also able to work independently.
