We are seeking a Financial Accountant to join our client, a leading manufacturing company based in Dublin West, on a fixed-term contract.
Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, this role supports financial reporting, month-end processes, and compliance, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in daily accounting operations.
The ideal candidate will be a fully qualified accountant and available to start in the coming weeks.
We are looking for someone to join their existing finance function, working alongside fellow Financial Accountants and reporting to the Finance Manager as part of a strong and dynamic finance team.
This role offers hybrid working (2-3 days in the office, 2-3 days from home), flexible start/finish times, free onsite parking, and is well-served by public transport.
The office provides excellent onsite facilities, and the salary is €70k plus a generous completion bonus.
This is a 9-month fixed-term contract, with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities: Assist in the month-end close process by preparing journal entries, updating financial records, and supporting the preparation of management reports.
Process and reconcile accounts, including bank statements, invoices, and expense reports, ensuring accuracy and timely recording of financial data.
Process financial transaction, identify and analyze exemptions.
Work with the team to insure accurate accounting.
Assist with preparation of annual consolidated financial accounts.
Assist in the preparation of audit schedules, financial statements, and supporting documentation for the annual audit.
Liaise with auditors to ensure timely responses to queries and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Assist in quarterly budgeting.
Ad hoc tasks & projects required by management.
Key Requirements: CIMA, ACCA, or ACA qualified accountant.
Experience in financial and management accounting.
Background in budgeting and forecasting.
Strong IT skills, particularly in MS Excel and PowerPoint.
Proactive and responsible, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
