Electrical Engineer (Construction)
We are seeking a High Voltage Electrical Engineer to strengthen our Construction Team in Ireland.
Main Responsibilities
* Provide electrical engineering advice and grid consultancy services to clients on costs, timelines, and technical aspects of grid connections and renewable generation technology.
* Prepare and submit grid connection applications and modifications for new renewable project developments.
* Ensure technical aspects and electrical infrastructure associated with wind farms, solar PV plants, and battery energy storage system (BESS) projects meet employer requirements and contractor specifications.
* Design, install, and commission contestable grid connection infrastructure according to system operator functional specifications.
* Act as Single Point of Contact (SPoC) in managing design review process with DSO's, TSO's, and other grid authorities.
* Provide technical support to Natural Power Project Manager / Owner's Engineer for project delivery.
* Assist in preparing specifications and employer's requirements for solar EPC contracts, turbine supply agreements, electrical balance of plant, and contestable grid connection work packages.
* Review technical aspects of electrical and grid connection infrastructure to identify and mitigate risks to operation, compliance, and operational lifetime.
* Attend site meetings and conduct site visits to inspect electrical works and prepare snagging lists.
* Facilitate and manage grid code compliance testing processes.
* Work with the Natural Power Advisory team to provide technical due diligence advisory services to renewable energy developers, asset owners, and investors.
* Stay up-to-date with grid connection and renewable energy policy and technology developments.
* Manage designers and specialist subconsultants as required.
