Maintenance Technician Electrical - North Dublin
Cpl are supporting our client partner who is a heritage brand in the Food and Beverage industry. The company is based in Northern Cross Co. Dublin and due to continued business growth, they have an immediate job vacancy for a Trade Qualified Electrical Technician.
Please note that to be considered, you must have a valid electrical trade certification.
The Electrical Maintenance Technicians are part of a team of high-performing craft and maintenance professionals. The plant currently runs on a 2-cycle shift pattern:
1. Shift A - 07:15am to 15:15pm
2. Shift B - 15:00pm to 23:30pm (finishing at 21:00pm on the Friday)
Overtime will be required from time to time to assist with production or preventative/reactive maintenance.
The job requires the Electrical Maintenance Technicians to set up, install, maintain, and support Electrical Food and Beverage production, packaging, and manufacturing equipment to ensure optimum performance and support the achievement of operational goals.
Job Description
The job requires the Electrical Maintenance Technician to provide day-to-day engineering services in a busy high-speed Food and Beverage manufacturing environment.
* You will be responsible for the Zone/Line performance and overall maintenance and repair of the equipment and machinery.
* The Maintenance Technician should be able to multitask and solve problems that arise on-site efficiently.
* Cost-effective design solutions should be provided on a weekly basis for the plant and equipment requirements.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date maintenance documentation.
* Deliver a high-quality maintenance service to production.
* Ensure that maintenance works efficiently, effectively, and safely, in line with the maintenance strategy.
* The Electrical Maintenance Technician must ensure tool uptime is above 95%.
* Plan work activities to improve Line Zone performance in conjunction with the Supervisor/Lead technician.
* Ideally, will be highly competent at using PLC for fault finding.
Qualifications and Experience
* At least 3 years’ trade experience as an Electrical Maintenance professional.
* Experience in a Food and/or Beverage processing background or alternatively from FMCG, Bottling, Medical Devices, Pharmaceutical or related industries, ideally within a Lean Six Sigma environment.
* Ability to troubleshoot and repair damaged or poor performing equipment.
* Assist in the compilation and presentation of technical feedback on engineering performance relating to yield output and downtime.
* Knowledge of Food Grade production regulations is a distinct advantage.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
* Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
* Team player and a good problem solver.
* National Craft Senior Trades Electrical or Automation Qualification is essential.
* You must be flexible in this position and prepared to undertake other work that may be assigned to you from time to time.
