Specifics of the Job:
This position will be based in Dublin. Reporting to the project manager/contracts manager.
Overview:
This is a site-based Quality Manager position suitable for someone with experience either in the design or construction area.
Working with the site management team you will be responsible for monitoring and facilitating continual improvement of quality performance on site and managing the BCAR process to ensure successful completion of the project.
Key Duties
· Management, implementation and maintenance of ISO standards
· Ensuring audits are undertaken in accordance with the audit schedule.
· Proactively investigate and lead investigations into non-conformances and corrective actions
· Develop all quality and inspection plans, manuals, documents and systems.
Documents Control - Reviewing and revising documentation to incorporate changes to company policies and objectives, in order to stay in line with ISO standards.
· Ensure detailed site records and photographs are kept by all team members on our digital platform.
Provide guidance and assistance on Quality matters to all staff on site.
Work with our Client to ensure that their Quality standards & procedures are successfully submitted, approved & implemented against agreed timelines.
Attend and co-ordinate weekly meetings with the client, subcontractors, Assigned Certifier & suppliers.
· Manage the samples and benchmark process on site.
· Undertake regular walkthrough Inspections of the site works to identify and report any quality or building compliance concerns.
Ensuring that the current quality procedures used on projects are standardised and in line with company policies.
Create a team atmosphere that embraces continuous improvement and quality.
Review subcontractors / suppliers’ products at source and at their facilities
Manage the BCAR process and champion a culture of Quality on site.
Collaboration with the Design Manager on the product/technical submittal process
Assist team training and development plans
Skills / Experience required for the role:
· Education Requirement: Degree in a construction related discipline.
· 5 years’ experience in a similar role
· Full understanding of the BCAR process and the regulatory standards
· Excellent IT skills and a strong working knowledge of Microsoft suite
· Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
· Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
· Knowledge of construction details ensuring best practice to design and specification
· Good planning and organisation skills
· Ability to work well under pressure and within a strict deadline environment.
· Strong attention to detail
