About the Team rish Brand Homes is Diageo's Premier collection of Visitor Experiences in Ireland where our world Class teams share the stories of our brands to all our guests.
The largest brand home, the Guinness Storehouse anchors the St James Gate campus with the Guinness Open Gate Brewery and the Roe & Co Whiskey Distillery as neighbours whilst our Smithwick's Experience takes pride of place on the site of the original Smithwick's Brewery in Kilkenny.
Each of our brand homes include a visitor experience, World Class Bars, Restaurants and retail stores.
Our Retail Operation is a key part of the experience providing our guests with the opportunity to keep a memory of their visit or get that perfect gift for a loved one whilst also providing a critical revenue stream for the Brand Homes and Diageo.
About the Role The Regional Retail Operations Manager will be responsible for the retail operations across all the Irish Brand Homes retail departments and play a leading role in Guinness retail operations globally.
Working closely with the retail management team, the RROM will be the key conduit between all stakeholders to ensure an efficient, profitable, reputable, world class retail operation.
They will ensure, through supporting the leads in each store, that the standards of service, merchandising, presentation and experience are consistently at the highest level.
This role is also extended to other Guinness Retail experiences globally including, the Guinness Export House in Dublin Airport, Guinness Old Brewers Yard, Covent Garden, London, Guinness Open Gate Breweries in Chicago and Baltimore and Guinness Retail store in Las Vegas.
The role also includes identifying opportunities for possible retail experiences including Pop up stores.
This includes developing business cases, planning and execution of these.
The regional retail manager has strategic accountability for overseeing the performance, operations, and profitability of multiple retail locations Diageo Irish Brand Homes and other global Guinness Retail experiences.
This includes developing and implementing strategic plans to meet sales targets, managing budgets and expenses, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures, optimizing inventory management, fostering customer satisfaction, and identifying opportunities for growth and expansion.
They also play a crucial role in aligning the activities of individual stores with the overall goals and objectives of the organization and brands.
You will be responsible for: Commercial Drive Identifying commercial opportunities and making recommendations to deliver growth, contributing to the retail strategy Development of Omni-channel offering Heading the implementation of the omni-channel retail strategy within the region to provide customers with a seamless retail experience Building High performing teams Building high performing, committed store teams through strong leadership and positive influencing and motivation Coaching Retail Management Teams Coaching the store management teams to improve their commercial knowledge, providing vision and direction.
Ensuring the skill and knowledge of local teams is 'world class' Standard bearer across all retail operations Responsible for maintaining the image and standards of our brands in a manner that is commercially and culturally aware of the specific Brand we represent Leadership Responsibilities: The Regional Manager for retail stores will build high performing teams and strategically drive sales and profitability within all retail operations whilst retaining a customer-centric approach at all times.
The RROM will be responsible for building strong partnerships with key stakeholders in order to maximize the people, product & operational opportunities within the business Lead, inspire and develop your people to build committed and high-performing store managers and teams.
Adapt leadership and coaching styles to accommodate the varying experience levels across; people management & development, selling, stock and operational excellence and visual merchandising Promote an inclusive and diverse culture in line with the Brand Values Champion a positive and flexible work culture, promoting continuous improvement and effective change Develop and invest in talent to create a robust internal talent pipeline and succession plan Identify training needs across all retail teams, working closely with L&D capabilities specialist to address these needs.
Be the Champion for all global and local policies, standards and guidelines across all retail operations Collaborate with Irish Brand Home Visitor Experience, Marketing and Operations teams to ensure retail stores best represent the storytelling of our brands and that opportunities to promote retail within the experience are maximised Seek efficiencies and synergies across retail operations to manage cost base across all retail touchpoints To be successful in this role, you will need: Highly experienced at Regional/Area Manager level Demonstrable experience of driving a high-performance culture across multi-site teams Excellent time management skills with the ability to work under pressure and to regularly re prioritise to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment Resilient; prepared to tackle problems head on and persist despite setbacks or difficulties Combine intellectual rigour and people engagement with the ability to represent the Irish Brand Home Values and purpose Highly effective team player, able to recognise, value and utilise the strengths of the team around them Commercial approach to role and operations, understands how their role impacts wider business profitability and how to drive it further Working with Us Flexibility is key to success in our business and many of our people work flexibly in many different ways, including part-time, compressed hours, flexible location.
