Role Overview
The Plant Fitter will be responsible for maintenance and repairs to all of our equipment.
What you'll do
Some of your main duties will include:
* Carrying out running repairs to all our equipment including any fabrication that may be required.
* Carry out all aspects of servicing.
* Carrying out inspections on various equipment including externally hired equipment when necessary.
* Control of environmental issues (COSHH) oils, filters, batteries, spray canisters etc.
* Reporting procedures to be managed by use of a computer via (emails, spreadsheets, word doc).
* Daily service records to be produced, signed off and forwarded to Plant Dept weekly.
* Plant service sheets to be produced for each item of plant after the completion of each service/repair.
* Plant repair action sheet to be maintained after each repair showing issues are closed out.
* Other yard and admin duties as required.
What you'll bring
As a Plant Fitter it is essential to have:
* Full driving licence.
* CSR, CPCS card or equivalent.
* Previous experience in a similar role.
* Qualification in mechanical fitting or the ability to demonstrate time served apprenticeship in this or related area (i.e., NVQ level 3 or City & Guilds).
* Ability to work unsupervised.
* Computer literacy with Microsoft Office applications.
* Excellent attention to detail with ability to work under pressure.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
