Buyer Job Description
Morgan McKinley is recruiting a Buyer to join an expanding multinational manufacturing company in Wexford. This role offers a dynamic Supply Chain environment with hybrid working options.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support the Purchasing Team with all purchasing activities.
* Develop and issue Requests for Quotation (RFQs), Requests for Proposal (RFPs), and purchase orders aligned with company policies, budgets, and timelines.
* Monitor and review supplier performance to ensure adherence to contract terms and expectations.
* Manage day-to-day vendor relationships.
* Complete monthly and quarterly supplier performance reviews.
* Collaborate with inventory and operations teams to maintain optimal stock levels.
* Monitor material usage, forecast demand, and adjust purchasing plans accordingly.
* Resolve supply chain issues, including delays, shortages, or quality concerns.
* Demonstrate strong leadership skills to build a team clear on their responsibilities and measured by KPIs.
Requirements:
* 4+ years of supply chain or purchasing experience.
* Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
* Strong SAP knowledge and expertise.
* Analytical and problem-solving skills to assess supplier performance and identify cost-saving opportunities.
