Job Description:
This is a full-time position based in Belfast, reporting directly to the CEO. The role involves supporting the empowerment of conflict bereaved and injured individuals to realize improved health and wellbeing and full and equal participation in society.
Key Responsibilities:
* Monitoring UK and Irish state international and domestic human rights obligations to victims and survivors of the conflict.
* Monitoring legacy mechanisms and advising on compliance with international legal frameworks.
* Producing submissions and strategic reports to international and domestic bodies on human rights status.
* Working with the CEO and RFJ Advocacy Casework Team to identify themes and patterns of human rights violations.
* Providing accessible materials regarding human rights issues to victims and survivors.
* Facilitating meetings between RFJ and stakeholders, identifying themes and patterns of violations, and supporting groups in pursuit of remedy.
* Maintaining high levels of confidentiality in accordance with RFJ policies.
Requirements:
1. A relevant degree plus 3 years' experience working with victims and survivors of conflict.
2. OR 4 years' experience providing human rights advocacy and advice to victims and survivors.
3. A minimum of 2 years' practical experience collating information, writing reports, and analyzing complex information.
4. An excellent understanding of the International Human Rights environment as pertains to victims and survivors of the conflict.
