Quality Engineer - Hardware and Software
My client is currently expanding and is looking to hire an experienced Quality Engineer with exposure to both hardware and software. They are a dynamic and innovative technology company producing market disruptive technology. They design & develop software, hardware, optics and illumination systems and they are looking for a Quality Engineer to work in a practical hands-on environment. They are expanding rapidly across Europe and the USA and have a solid growth trajectory. You’ll join a growing company with a close-knit team of engineers who love their work.
The Role
1. Develop and complete quality inspections at relevant stages of manufacture/development.
2. Perform Quality validation on both hardware and software product development lifecycle stages.
3. Update their Quality Management System (QMS) with incidents, fixes and improvements.
4. Assist with the implementation of our ISO 9001 QMS.
5. Audit their systems based on ISO 9001:2015 requirements.
6. Determine quality metrics for all manufacturing and development procedures.
7. Monitor the entire development and production cycle and with a view to making continuous improvements on the whole process.
8. Identify the root of technical issues and recommend fixes.
9. Prepare reports on malfunctions and corrective actions.
10. Regularly review design documents and quality documentation as part of audit and continuous improvement processes.
11. Set and track quality assurance goals.
12. Work with internal teams to increase customer satisfaction by improving the quality of the products.
Essential Technical Skills for this role:
1. Previous work experience as a Quality Engineer in an OEM developing complex electromechanical products, with experience in hardware, electrical, machine vision and software quality requirements.
2. Hands-on experience with Quality Management Systems (QMS) and testing methodologies.
3. In-depth understanding of technical documentation & able to create process documentation.
4. Excellent Communication skills.
5. Good attention to detail and problem-solving abilities and good analytical skills.
6. Diploma or Degree in suitable engineer discipline (Mechanical, Manufacturing, Electrical etc).
7. Ideally 4+ years' experience either as a Quality Engineer or technician in an OEM manufacturer.
Candidates must be eligible to work in Ireland/EU.
Salary negotiable. Dependant on candidate experience. Benefits include: Health Insurance after 12 months, Employer contribution pension after 12 months, Bonus Scheme, Flexitime with base hours, Free Tea/coffee, sandwiches, and others.
