Reinsurance Accountant Role
We are partnering with a leading provider of reinsurance solutions to seek a highly motivated Reinsurance Accountant for their dynamic Reinsurance Operations team.
Job Summary
This is a permanent role in our Dublin office, requiring a hybrid working approach.
Key Responsibilities:
* Verify underwriting data for quota share and excess of loss contracts.
* Maintain accuracy of premium information on excess of loss contracts, including endorsements, premium adjustments, and cash allocations.
* Oversee all aspects of quota share programs, including bordereau reporting, claims payments, and cash allocation.
* Monitor aging of accounts receivable and manage collection efforts.
* Liaise with brokers and underwriters to resolve queries, address outstanding receivables, and manage premium adjustments.
* Complete monthly close of underwriting systems.
* Undertake additional projects and tasks as required to support the department.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
* 3-5 years of experience in a similar role within the insurance or reinsurance industry.
* Ability to read and understand reinsurance contracts.
* Knowledge of accounting for quota share and excess of loss contracts.
* Experience with underwriting systems.
* Financial reporting experience in a SOX and SEC regulated environment.
* Fluency in English is required; additional language skills in French, Spanish, or other languages are a plus.
