Junior Site Manager / Assistant Site Manager
We are currently seeking a motivated Junior Site Manager or Assistant Site Manager to join a team overseeing a 50-unit traditional build housing project in South Dublin. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to develop their career in construction management.
About the Role:
The Junior Site Manager will work closely with the Site Manager and project team, assisting in the day-to-day management of the site and ensuring the smooth execution of the project.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist the Site Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations on-site, ensuring the project runs smoothly and safely.
* Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, tradesmen, and suppliers to ensure the timely and efficient delivery of work.
* Assist with the preparation and maintenance of the site schedule, ensuring deadlines and project milestones are met.
* Ensure health, safety, and environmental regulations are adhered to, helping to maintain a safe and compliant work environment.
* Help with quality control, carrying out regular inspections to ensure work meets required standards.
* Keep accurate records of daily site activities, including progress reports, site diaries, and health and safety logs.
* Provide support with managing site logistics, ensuring materials and resources are available when needed.
* Communicate effectively with the Site Manager, contractors, and other site personnel to ensure project objectives are being met.
* Assist in resolving site issues and challenges, ensuring minimal disruption to the project timeline.
* Contribute to maintaining a positive and efficient work environment, promoting teamwork and professional development.
Key Requirements:
* Previous experience in a construction site-based role, ideally within residential projects.
* Strong organisational and communication skills with the ability to work effectively within a team.
* Basic understanding of construction processes, site management, and safety regulations.
* A proactive attitude with a strong willingness to learn and develop in the role.
* Some knowledge of quality control, project scheduling, and site logistics is beneficial.
* A relevant construction qualification (e.g., a degree or diploma in Construction Management or Civil Engineering) is preferred.
