In, we at COWI will be opening a new office in Dublin, as we have a pipeline of projects in the infrastructure and green energy sectors.
We would therefore be keen to hear from civil, structural, MEP and geotechnical design engineers to join us the delivery of major design commissions such as new bridges, port expansions, offshore wind farms and district heating systems.
Joining our team in Ireland you will be involved in projects for our Irish customers and other major projects around the world.
As part of the international business line, we employ over people, based in six offices across Scotland and England.
We mainly work within transportation infrastructure, with a focus on bridges, tunnels and underground structures and railways.
However, our extensive experience also covers ground engineering and reclamation, energy, utilities, and special structures.
Our engineering culture is to design buildability in, and design risk out.
We understand how important a varied workload is in developing our engineers, so we encourage them to work on a mix of smaller, local assignments and larger, multidisciplinary projects.
Our Infrastructure team has significant experience of delivery and design across several areas within the sector, including: Bridges Tunnels Highways Rail Underground Structures Geotechnical & Earthwork Geological Site Investigation In our Energy sector, we specialise in energy concepts and implementation that meet the increasing demand for reliable, efficient, and sustainable energy solutions.
We work with all aspects of energy planning, production, and distribution within bioenergy and green fuels, wind, solar and renewable energy.
We have significant experience of design and delivery across several areas, including: Offshore Wind Onshore Wind Carbon capture utilisation & storage Power–to–X Green fuels infrastructure Hydro Power District Heating & Cooling Electrification Risk Analysis EXTEND YOUR POTENTIAL WITH A GLOBAL TEAM OF EXPERTS We are keen to hear from candidates who have experience in any of the following specialisms: Offshore wind design, including feasibility, concept, and detailed design Primary or secondary steel design Structural engineering assessment (e.g., SESAM, SACS) Geotechnical engineering Hydrodynamics and wave loading Fatigue loading and assessment Process Engineering Electrical Engineering Design management / technical leadership SOME OF OUR EXCITING PROJECTS We are engaged in many varied and exciting projects, such as Coire Glas Pump Storage Scheme Aberdeen District Heating Empire Wind, USA International eFuels projects Sophia Offshore Wind – Onshore connections, UK MyLG onshore wind farm, UK Padma Bridge, Bangladesh (including the River Training Works) Port of Thessaloniki, Greece Lagan Gateway, UK
