Our client, one of Ireland's premier residential developers currently building a mix of high-end and large-scale apartments, housing, hotels, industrial units, and office developments throughout Ireland, has a unique opportunity for an experienced Project Manager / Contracts Manager to join the Development team to be site-based and manage a residential project in Cork.
Key Responsibilities:
* Previous experience in similar sized residential projects to ensure appropriate experience to achieve project delivery in accordance with agreed company success criteria for the project.
* Strong management skills including managing the design team, site staff, sub-contractors, and third-party stakeholders such as ESB/Irish Water, etc.
* Relevant qualification in project management or engineering.
* Experience in managing programs including setting out the project program and reporting weekly on progress.
* Supervising and managing the accurate and timely project delivery program management reporting to the Head of Development in the form of Weekly and Monthly Progress Reports.
* Managing meetings and correspondence with the design teams, local authority, sub-contractors, specialist sub-contractors, and third-party stakeholders as required.
Tasks will be reviewed and allocated to reflect increasing levels of development, experience, and specific project requirements.
The Candidate:
* Past residential experience is a requirement for this position – houses and apartments.
* 10+ years on-site experience.
* An ability to achieve demanding time and quality targets to meet the project programme.
* Good IT skills with competency in MS Project, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
* A willingness to attend training and to develop relevant knowledge, techniques, and skills as required by the company.
* Must have strong knowledge of building house details and construction technology.
* Strong analytical and technical skills.
* Good spoken and written communication skills.
* Methodical, attention to detail, and accuracy in reporting.
* Confident working with people at all levels and willing to work in a proactive team environment.
* Self-motivated with an ability to work on own initiative.
* Able to coordinate more than one project at the same time as per future company requirements, reporting to the company CEO, CFO, Head of Development, and Commercial Director.
