Engineering Manager Role
We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead our Plant Management Team's engineering domains, including Process and Project Engineering, Maintenance, Blow Moulding, Tooling, and Automation.
This pivotal role is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and continuous improvement of our manufacturing processes, while providing strategic leadership and technical guidance across various engineering disciplines.
Key Responsibilities:
* Engineering Leadership: Provide technical expertise on product and process issues, ensuring efficient operations and effective solutions.
* Team Management: Directly supervise, lead, and develop a cross-functional team of engineers, fostering a proactive culture and promoting collaboration.
* Project Planning: Prioritize, plan, and schedule all engineering work to meet production needs, ensuring timely completion and quality outcomes.
* Process Improvement: Implement and maintain robust systems to enhance the reliability and repeatability of manufacturing processes, reducing waste and increasing efficiency.
* Data-Driven Improvement: Utilize data analytics to identify gaps and drive continuous improvement initiatives in process performance, making data-informed decisions.
* System Development: Create and maintain an engineering and maintenance management system that aligns with best practices and organizational goals, ensuring seamless integration and scalability.
* NPI Support: Provide strong support for New Product Introduction (NPI) programs, ensuring smooth integration into production and meeting customer requirements.
Qualifications Required:
* Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
* Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in a similar role, with proven expertise in process and project engineering, maintenance, and automation.
* Leadership Skills: Demonstrated experience in leading and managing cross-functional engineering teams, promoting a culture of collaboration and innovation.
* Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, particularly in Blow Moulding, Tooling, and Automation, with a focus on improving efficiency and quality.
* Problem-Solving Abilities: Excellent analytical skills with a data-driven approach to problem-solving and process improvement, identifying opportunities for growth and improvement.
* Project Management: Experience in project planning, prioritization, and execution, ensuring timely completion and quality outcomes.
* Communication: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of working effectively with various stakeholders, including engineers, technicians, and management.
* Continuous Improvement: Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma, applying these principles to drive process improvements and optimize results.
