We are seeking a highly experienced Social Care Professional to fill the role of Home Manager in one of our children's residential services. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the home in accordance with its Statement of Purpose, ensuring a safe and caring environment is maintained in line with relevant childcare legislation, national standards, and client policies.
Key Responsibilities
* To manage the home in accordance with its Statement of Purpose and ensure compliance with relevant childcare legislation, national standards, and client policies
* To maintain a safe and caring environment that promotes the well-being and development of children and young people in care
* To develop, implement, and evaluate effective strategies to support the needs of children and young people in care
* To lead and manage a team of staff to provide high-quality care and support to children and young people
* To communicate effectively with children, young people, families, and external agencies to promote positive outcomes and partnerships
Requirements
* A minimum Level 8 degree in Social Care/Work or equivalent qualification
* 4 years of experience working in a social care environment with children
* A full clean driving licence and access to own transport
* Previous management experience in a social care setting
* Up-to-date knowledge of legislation surrounding Residential Childcare and Safeguarding
* Ability to deliver reports and meet deadlines
* Flexible approach to meet business needs
