General Manager (Munster)Location: MunsterDuration: PermanentHours: 39 hours per weekOverview of the Role:The General Manager will be responsible for commercial and technical management of various client contracts across the portfolio. He/she will develop key client relationships and mutually develop and lead high performance teams delivering world class hard facilities and utility services.The role requires a skilled senior manager with pharma engineering experience, compliance and safety focused.Day to Day of the Role:Day to Day operational accountabilityManage a team of Contract Managers to assist in the management, development and optimisation of site teams, and provide support to contract managers to ensure all goals and relevant standards are achievedTeam and Individual Objective setting and managementManagement of new contract implementations, technical, operational, commercial and contractual ownershipEnvironment & Safety PerformanceLiaise with QHSE to ensure that all QHSE requirements for managed contracts are satisfiedP+L Ownership and managementDevelopment of Annual Budgets and ForecastsManagement of Contract annual budgetsOptimise the contract margin whilst minimising any risk or exposure to the businessMaintain and develop key customer relationshipsDevelop long-term strategic direction in liaison with clients and implement as appropriateStrong focus on renewal of contractsRenewal and new business bid preparation and developmentContribute to the development of the company's strategy, growth and business planAnticipate and effectively manage risks and opportunitiesWorking with other GM's in the business unitImprove/maintain our net promoter score through KPI and continuous improvement managementRequired Skills for the Role:Essential:Engineering degree or equivalent, preferably in electrical/mechanical/building services, with five to ten years postgraduate experience, orTrade qualification (National Craft Cert, City & Guilds or Equivalent), preferably electrical/mechanical/building servicesManagement experience in an industrial utilities environmentDemonstrable Health & Safety experience, particularly in a SEVESO or similar type environmentOperating within a regulated environmentDesirable:Design and/or modification of industrial utilitiesSupervisory/management experience in a pharmaceutical utilities environmentExperience in energy management role with ability to demonstrate a clear history of savings achieved.Demonstrate an ability to motivate and drive a team in a continuous improvement environment.Continuous Improvement techniques 5S/Kaizen/6 sigma/ FMEA.Please note:If you are an EU/EEA national, you will be asked to show proof of right to work in Ireland.If you are a non-EU/EEA national, you will require current and valid permission to work and reside in the Republic of Ireland.Here at Veolia, we're proud to be known as an equal opportunities employer.
