We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Site Supervisor to join our team for several projects across the Greater Dublin area.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Using our Construction Software Package, Procore, study and analyse blueprints and floor plans to understand all aspects of the mechanical design layout.
* Highlight any issues at prestart meetings held with the Senior Project Manager.
* Oversee the installation of pipes and fixtures, such as sinks and toilets, for water, gas, steam, air, or other liquids.
* Lead site operatives and apprentice teams, supported by the Operations Manager.
* Liaise with contractors, managers, and other stakeholders, ensuring coordination among all parties.
* Educate site operatives on construction safety and accident protocols.
* Inspect sites regularly to identify and eliminate potential safety hazards.
* Handle site accidents in accordance with accident protocol.
* Maintain detailed records of construction site activities.
* Deal with staff and sub-contractors, ensuring quality workmanship is always met in line with MGME Quality Assurance Standards.
* Raise a notice to the main contractor for all on-site issues and holdups encountered.
* Familiarise yourself with material ordering and delivery logistics, working closely with the procurement team.
* Oversee all testing and commissioning at the request of the SPM, QA, and commissioning team.
* Capture all RFI's, damage, theft, and out-of-scope work through Procore.
* Adhere to health and safety policies and procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of self, staff, and visitors.
* Ensure that all company standards and policies are followed and maintained.
* Perform any other duties requested or required by the Manager or Senior Management Team.
Person Specification
* The ideal candidate will be a Time-Served Plumber.
* Have experience working in a similar Site Supervisory position.
* Be a strong communicator, both written and orally.
* Work under pressure to deliver and meet project deadlines.
* Possess a good working knowledge of Microsoft Applications.
* Hold a full clean driving license.
* Be open and flexible to travel across various MGME project sites.
* The candidate must hold valid safety documents.
