A leading food producer based in County Kerry seeks an experienced and proactive Quality Manager to oversee food safety and quality management systems on site.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversight of food safety and quality management systems, ensuring alignment with industry standards.
* Leadership of the food safety team, driving improvements through a structured internal audit program.
* Management of the laboratory function, guaranteeing precise and timely analysis.
* Collaboration with suppliers to maintain high milk quality standards.
* Ensuring full compliance with certifications such as FSSC 22000 and ISO 14001.
* Primary point of contact for Regulatory Authorities, leading third-party and customer audits.
* Championing a positive food safety culture throughout the company, ensuring best practices are implemented and followed.
* Investigation and timely resolution of consumer complaints.
* Adherence to health and safety legislation and practices.
* Coordination and management of the site's environmental management system.
* Liaison with customers on technical and quality matters.
Candidate Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related field.
* Minimum of 3-5 years in a senior technical or quality management role within the food production industry.
* Demonstrated experience implementing and managing a Food Safety Management System (FSMS).
* Strong understanding of food safety standards and experience with regulatory compliance and audits.
